Mr. Musiige is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and courts subordinate thereto and he holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Islamic University in Uganda and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and also engaged in active legal practice in Uganda.
He has worked with this firm since its inception in 2007 and he is a young, brilliant and a very hard working lawyer and his areas of expertise are Land Matters, Land and commercial transactions, Banking law and Insurance Law.
He has extensive experience in the banking and finance sector, particularly with regard to mortgage perfection and bank recoveries. He is a highly skilled commercial and civil litigator. He has successfully represented several local and international clients in varied sectors including telecommunications, construction, banking, mining as well as public bodies and government agencies. Further to this, he is an experienced tax litigator and has represented various clients in some of the country’s biggest most complex tax matters.
He has expertise in tax planning, and understands the intricacies of internal tax related legal issues of businesses and has worked with numerous companies in this regard. Mr. Musiige Faisal has extensive experience in insolvency, securitization and document registration including trademarks, patents and copyrights.
He understands the legal and operational compliance requirements of financial institutions and has interfaced with the Bank of Uganda, the Capital Markets Authority and the Uganda Securities Exchange in several transactions. He has advised on numerous financial transactions pertaining financial restructuring, trade financing, project finance and private equity.
Mr. Musiige Faisal further has a special interest in commercial land transactions and he has diligently represented several top notch clients in such multi-billion dollar acquisitions and before the ordinary courts of law and tribunals.
